How to use Spirulina Algae Powder
You can use any amount of spirulina algae powder, for example to enhance your daily smoothie with the nutrients and minerals from microalgae, or you can use spirulina as a special ingredient in the dough for homemade crackers, bread or rolls. Spirulina has a mild yet typical taste reminiscent of green algae. If you don't particularly like this taste, we recommend that you also process sweet fruits in the Spirulina Smoothie, which on the one hand cover up the algae aroma and on the other hand provide additional nutrients. Our tip: Puree a banana with 200 ml water, a tablespoon of spirulina powder and fresh raspberries until creamy and enjoy straight away.
With the powder from spirulina you can supplement your daily nutrient intake in the most uncomplicated way possible - with a protein content of over 50 percent and 4.1 percent fat, there is good reason to speak of a balanced, wholesome food. But the minerals contained in the spirulina algae in particular are impressive thanks to the significant amounts: With a portion of just 10 g of spirulina powder a day, you can reduce your iron requirements by more than 50 percent, chromium by 70 percent and more than 100 percent of iodine and selenium.
